More than one million speeding fines worth a staggering $417 million have been dished out to South Australian drivers since 2019, according to new figures.
Data from The Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA) showed 202,00 speeding fines were issued in the past year alone, with mobile speed cameras responsible for detecting almost half of offences.
Of the infringements issued, 14,000 were for speeding 20 kilometres above the limit - an offence that can leave drivers up to $900 out of pocket.
