SA businesses welcome relaxation of COVID-19 contact rules but areas with low vaccination rates worrying

South Australian business owners say they are worried that the inevitable COVID-19 cases once the state's borders will lead to shutdowns, but at least the reduction in quarantine time for vaccinated people will reduce their extent.

Premier Steven Marshall announced this morning that close contacts of people with COVID-19 would only have to quarantine for seven days — rather than the current 14 — when the state's borders open to NSW, Victoria and the ACT, next Tuesday, November 23.


Unvaccinated close contacts would still have to quarantine for 14 days.
