Owner of cockroach-infested pizza bar banned from serving food, hit with $5,000 fine

The operator of a pizza bar in Adelaide's western suburbs who illegally sold food after health inspectors found cockroaches and food well out of date has been fined more than $5,000 and banned from supplying or selling food for two years.

Cecille Garcia Yalung, 31, pleaded guilty to 20 charges, including 17 counts of failing to comply with a requirement of the food standards code and failing to comply with an improvement notice or prohibition order at Cici's Pizza Kitchen at Hindmarsh in 2019.
