Lucindale Area School students celebrate renovations, new classrooms after two-year wait

Students and staff at Lucindale Area School are celebrating the end of a renovation project that was originally scheduled to be finished in January 2021.

From September 2020, students had been learning in makeshift classrooms, public library spaces, and the front office.

The $2 million project involved demolishing buildings that had been deemed derelict, and constructing a science lab, art room, and two general learning areas.

Students were travelling 80 kilometres return to use the science labs at Naracoorte while waiting for their own science classroom to be built.
