Australian foreign minister Marise Payne on Tuesday announced an additional A$100 million for the distribution of covid-19 vaccines in the Indo-Pacific region.

This takes the total commitment by Australia to A$623 million. The announcement comes days after the Quad, comprising the US, India, Australia and Japan, committed to an initiative to manufacture and supply covid-19 vaccines to countries in Indo-Pacific.
